Promising to soon initiate action against the previous Shiela Dikshit government on corruption allegations, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has said they are currently studying the Commonwealth Games and Delhi Jal Board files and "won't spare" the Congress.
"We are studying CWG files and all (Delhi) Jal Board files. We have set up an anti-corruption branch. In a few days we will start acting against the previous government. We won't spare the Congress," he told news channels.
In the 70-member Delhi Assembly, Congress with eight MLAs is supporting the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government which has a strength of 28.
Asked if the Congress chose to withdraw support, he said, "We will start our action. The Congress can withdraw support. If the government has to go tomorrow, let it go today."
He batted for Delhi police's control in the hands of the city government.
In reference to the recent episode in which the Delhi government has demaded suspension of four police officers, Kerjriwal said, "The police have not done their job. There are serious allegations against them.
"Do you expect us to defend them? Instead of punishing the police, who are not doing their job, these people are defending them."
Kejriwal, along with his cabinet ministers and party MLAs will hold a dharna outside Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday demanding suspension of four cops.
Kejriwal demanded suspension of SHO of Malviya Nagar and two ACPs for refusing to take action against the alleged sex and drug ring. Law Minister Somnath Bharti has alleged that the officers did not cooperate in cracking down on an alleged prostitution ring in South Delhi three days back and had an argument with these officers.
He also demanded action against Sagarpur SHO for involvement in an altercation with Child Development Minister Rakhi Birla.
