Water purifier maker Kent RO, which is aiming to be a Rs 1,000-crore firm next fiscal, has expanded its product portfolio by adding two water purifiers.
Besides, the company will invest around Rs 100 crore at its Noida-based unit as it introduces home-cleaning products and new air purifiers.
Kent RO launched Kent Superb, a smart RO water purifier with digital technology and a gravity purifier targeting the mass market.
"Being first of its kind, this purifier is touch operated with an in-built micro-controller which senses water quality on real-time basis and displays it on the digital screen. It also senses and displays the total dissolved salts in the purified water as well as the filter life," said Kent RO Systems Chairman Mahesh Gupta.
Kent Superb also automatically warns users, when filter life is less than 60 hours, he added.
"The gravity-based purifier is for the mass market, which could remove arsenic from water, which is present in the ground water of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal," Gupta said.
The company has forayed into categories such as air purifier, veg purifier, water softener and the like and is aiming to cross Rs 1,000 crore sales in 2016-17.
"Last year (fiscal), we had clocked Rs 672 crore and this year, we are expected to be around Rs 800 crore. Next year, we would definitely cross Rs 1,000 crore," he added.
As part of its growth plans, Kent RO is expanding its Noida unit, which would help it boost its volume.
"The company is expanding a new facility at Noida and we are almost building 3.5 lakh sq ft area. We are investing around Rs 100 crore in this," said Gupta.
The company is aiming to double its exports in the next two years. "Our export turnover is around Rs 25 crore and we are targeting at Rs 50 crore exports in the next two years," he added.
The company exports products to Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal and some Middle-East countries.
