This was stated during the second day of the high level meeting called by Vijayan here to evaluate the progress of various government projects and the performance of departments.
Vijayan directed officials concerned to ensure at least 12-metre width in both hill and coastal highways.
"The construction of 1251 kilo metre hill highway and 623 kilo metre coastal highway will be completed by December, 2020. A total of Rs 10,000 crore is estimated for the projects," an official statement said.
The evaluation of at least 114 projects under 38 departments, which began yesterday, completed today.
The evaluation was conducted as part of the government's effort to ensure their implementation in a time-bound manner.
