The 35-year-old comedian will promote his two upcoming comedies 'Get Hard' and 'The Wedding Ringer' on SNL on January 17, reported Ace Showbiz.
Hart last appeared on the NBC sketch comedy series back in March 2013.
A musical guest for Hart's next hosting stint will be announced in the coming weeks.
Saturday Night Live's return in the New Year will begin the run-up to a 40th anniversary primetime special on February 15, with many former cast members expected to appear.
This weekend's edition of SNL featured a parody of true crime podcast Serial, as well as Mike Myers reprising his Austin Powers character Dr Evil to mock the Sony cyber attack.
