Khattar holds meeting on Aravali range preservation in Haryana

The Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar called upon a meeting of deputy commissioners and forest officers of Faridabad, Gurgaon and Mewat districts here to discuss the conservation process of Aravali mountain range in Haryana.
Khattar made an aerial inspection of the hills before holding a meeting with the DCPs and forest officials of the three districts at Hotel Rajhans in Faridabad's Surajkund area.
The process for the conservation of Aravali mountain range spread over these three districts of Haryana were discussed by the CM.
The Chief Minister said it is also important to ensure the safety of species within the range in addition to preservation of forests and hills.

Regular observation and concerned effort is needed to maintain the beauty of the hills and its ecological balance, he said.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Rakesh Gupta, Deputy Commissioner of Faridabad Amit Kumar Agrawal, Deputy Commissioner of Gurgaon T L Satyaprakash and Deputy Commissioner of Mewat Ashok Sangwan.
In the recent years, many concrete structures have come up in the Aravali range defying the prohibition on construction in the area.
Cases of killing of wild animals and unhindered cutting of trees have been reported from region.
