Doctors today ruled out any internal injury to Haryana minister Kiran Chaudhary who is undergoing medical treatment after she was attacked during an election campaign.
"She is under treatment. The doctors have advised her complete rest. Luckily, internal injuries have been ruled out, though there are other injuries as large stones with force were hurled at her," Chaudhary's daughter Shruti told PTI over the phone.
The minister was pelted with stones by some miscreants when she was campaigning for her daughter and Congress MP Shruti at Koriyavas village in Narnaul, about 300 km from here.
Kiran, the minister of Excise and Taxation and Public Health and Engineering, had suffered injuries on the chest and neck and was first rushed to a hospital at Narnaul from where she was referred to Gurgaon.
Shruti said a police complaint has been lodged and the matter is being investigated.
She, however, claimed that the attackers were close to their political rival.
Shruti was campaigning in village Badhda when the incident took place last evening. She is seeking re-election from Bhiwani-Mahendergarh parliamentary seat.
Haryana's former Chief Parliamentary Secretary Dharambir Singh of BJP, is among other candidates pitted against her.
