Addressing a conference of the Union here yesterday, Ambawat faction leader Chaudhry Rishipal Ambawat demanded immediate abrogation of the existing land acquisition laws in UP failing which the union will lay siege to the state Assembly on June 15.
He said Union activists will also begin a jail bharo and rail roko agitation across the state if their concerns are not addressed.
The Union also demanded a compensation for land acquired by the government for Deoband-Roorkee rail track on the lines of GAIL and accused the successive governments of not fulfilling their promise of loan waivers to farmers.
