KLO militant arrested in Bengaluru, being brought to Malda

A Kampatur Liberation Organisation militant, who was wanted in connection with several cases, is being brought to Malda on transit remand, the police said.
The militant, Nabanu Burman, who was recently arrested in Bengaluru was being brought to Malda, superintendent of police R Yadav said.
The police had put up posters carrying the photographs of three KLO militants -- Burman, Malkhan Singh and Jhaksu Mondol -- to ger information about them.
Burman was carrying a reward of Rs 10,000 on his head.
The SP and DIG (Malda Range) S Bandopadhyay said extensive raids were conducted in Gajole area to nab Malkhan Singh. Door-to-dorr searches were conducted but he was not found.
