"The product offers high endurance concrete casting, high compressive strength and will deliver the assured quality and zero loss in quantity through its tamper and moisture proof packaging," Indrajit Chatterjee, Deputy Executive Director, Sales and Marketing of OCL said.
He said Konark Cement is one of the fastest growing cement brands in eastern India from the house of cement major OCL India Limited - the flagship associate company of Dalmia Bharat Group.
Stating that the new Konark DSP cement would be available at a premium over normal bags, Chatterjee said superior strength, smooth surface finish, resilience and flexibility of application make the new product ideal for use in casting of roof slabs, columns and foundations.
"The new product is cohesive and easy to use mixes, has high early setting and strength," Chatterjee said adding it is likely to contribute towards further growth in business in states like Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal.
Konark cement is currently manufactured at its high capacity state-of-the-art plants situated in Sundargarh and Cuttack districts in Odisha, with another high capacity grinding unit currently under construction in the Midnapore district of West Bengal, he said.
