Kota Thermal's Dy Chief Engineer arrested on bribe charges

A Deputy Chief Engineer of Kota Thermal Power unit was arrested by the sleuths of Anti Corruption Branch today for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000 from a contractor for clearing his bills.
Contractor Nathulal Nagar had complained that Dy Chief Engineer Lalit K Nandwana had demanded a bribe of Rs 1 lakh to release his bills amounting to Rs 7 lakh, security money Rs 8 lakh, and other dues worth lakhs of rupees, spokesperson said.
The ACB organised a trap in which Nandwana was caught red-handed today while accepting bribe of Rs 50,000 out of Rs 1 lakh, which was to be paid in two installments, the spokesperson said.
A case under sections of Prevention of Corruption Act was lodged against him, she added.
