Kotkhai case: Financial aid for man killed lock up

Twenty-three days after Suraj, an accused in the Kotkhai minor rape and murder case was killed by another accused in the lock up of a police station, the district administration today gave financial assistance of Rs 70,000 to his family, an official said.
The government has provided police protection to the woman and lodged her in Nariniketan.
A cheque of Rs 50,000 was issued in her name while deposits of Rs 10,000 each were made in the name of two minor children, Deputy Commissioner, Shimla, Rohan Chand Thakur said.
According to the police, Suraj, who one of the six accused in Kotkhai rape and murder case was killed in by another accused Raju.
