A Jammu-based political outfit today urged parties to support a proposal to set up a single shrine board for all temples in Jammu and Kashmir, on the lines of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB).
"We appeal to all political parties to support a single shrine board for all temples in Jammu and Kashmir like the SMVDSB," Kranti Dal state general secretary Pritam Sharma told reporters here today.
The National Conference (NC) government had introduced a Bill in the Assembly in 2008 to include all temples in Kashmir under one shrine board, he said, adding "we are now demanding a Bill for whole the of Jammu and Kashmir, which would boost tourism and overall development".
