Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao gave this information during a video conference with district collectors from Hyderabad.
"In Krishna district all 2,155 public distribution points (ration depots) have been brought under e-POS in two phases," he said.
"Whenever, the beneficiary collects his ration from the dealer, the information under this system immediately passed to the concerned Tahashildar through electronic process. With this, all loop holes in the distribution of material under PDS can easily be monitored," he said.
Krishna District Collector Babu A said this process saves huge funds allocated for PDS by eliminating the loop holes.
