"We will remove her face from posters in a phased manner. First we will remove it from the buses which ferry school children," said Daryl Natto, KTCL's Managing Director.
A local organisation had taken objection to the posters.
"The advertisements are approved by the authorities. The same posters are also pasted on the buses in Uttar Pradesh and some other states," Natto told PTI.
The Women's Commission ordered KTCL to remove Leone's face from the posters after 'Ranaragini', a local NGO, took objection to the pictures of women in contraceptive advertisements on Kadamba buses and other public places.
"We will have to convince the agency...I think the agency will cooperate," he said.
