Dismissing the allegation of the opposition BJP that the phones of its leaders were being tapped by the ruling Congress party in the state, he said the charges were not only "unfounded, but it is the other way round".
"The Centre is not only tapping our phones but also misusing the Enforcement Directorate, Central Bureau of Investigation, Income Tax department and Reserve Bank of India to harass Congress leaders. Phone-tapping is going on for quite a long time. It is known to us," said Reddy.
R Ashok, the Padmanabhanagar MLA of the BJP and former deputy chief minister, had recently alleged that the Congress had resorted to phone-tapping of the leaders of the saffron party.
