Kumar, Mattu, Bhalotia finish joint 1st in Pre Qualifying II

Sanjeev Kumar (74-68) of Lucknow, Jalandhar's Balwinder Singh Mattu (71-71) and Kolkata's Indrajit Bhalotia (71-71) finished joint first at the end of round two of the PGTI's Pre Qualifying II for the 2014 season here today.
The three players totaled even-par-142 for three rounds.
A total of 39 players qualified from Pre Qualifying II for the Final Qualifying Stage as four players were tied at 36th position as the cut was declared at 11-over-153.
Sanjeev Kumar followed up his first round of three-over-74 with the day's best of three-under-68 in round two to top the leaderboard. Sanjeev's round included four birdies and a bogey.

Balwinder Singh Mattu's second round of 71 also placed him at the top in Pre Qualifying II. Mattu fired five birdies, three bogeys and a double-bogey on Saturday.
Indrajit Bhalotia also posted five birdies, three bogeys and a double-bogey in his second round of 71 to share first position along with Sanjeev Kumar and Balwinder Singh Mattu.
Manoj Kumar of Lucknow was one shot behind the joint leaders in fourth place. The highlight of Manoj's second round of 71, were his four straight birdies from the 10th to the 13th.
The Final Stage of Qualifying will be played from January 21-24, 2014 at the Poona Club Golf Course in Pune.
