"The administration is trying to complete the pending works before beginning of Kumbh mela in July. We are also committed to make Godavari river free of pollution. We are giving top priority to construction of roads, ghats and provide basic amenities," Fadnavis said addressing a review meeting at Trimbakeshwar.
Trimbakeshwar is famous for the ancient temple of Lord Shiv and is one of the twelve 'jyotirlingas' in the country.
Public representatives, including state water resources minister Girish Mahajan, minister of state for cooperation Dada Bhuse, besides officials and seers attended the meeting.
Fadnavis and other attendees paid tribute to the slain CPI leader Govind Pansare on the occasion.
