The award was given to the KVIC chief by Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha in the presence of Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, who inaugurated the ceremony here.
Other recipients of the award include Goa Governor Mridula Sinha, French ambassador Alexandre Ziegler, former ICCR director general Amarendra Khatua, hotelier Arvind Singh Mewar, journalist Rajiv Makhni and art director Sanjoy K Roy.
In his address, Saxena said, "When I was a corporate man, spending quality time with friends and colleagues was a luxury for me. But now as Chairman of KVIC, which revolves around the Gandhian philosophy of self-reliance, I now get luxury in ensuring the bread and livelihood to last man among our valuable artisans."
