Car maker Renault India today said its flagship brand Kwid has crossed the 1.30 lakh volume since the launch.
On the back of massive sales of the made-for-India Kwid, Renault market share went up two notches to No 3 in 2016, as its sales soared 53 per cent to over 3,08,950 units in the year. The instant success of the Kwid also catapulted India as the eighth largest market for the largest French auto company.
This has helped it grow in market share to 4.5 per cent at the end of 2016, over 2015 when its market share stood at under 3 per cent.
