Pop star Kylie Minogue has been roped in to play a saucy man-eater in a new TV project 'Hey Diddly Dee'.
Actor-comedian Mathew Horne, who is also a part of the project, asked the 44-year-old singer to be part of the show. He has previously worked with Minouge in 'The Kylie Show' and co-presented 2009's Brit awards with her, reported Sun online.
An actress pulled out of the short film, written and directed by 'Mad Dogs' Marc Warren.
"An actress pulled out quite close to filming. Mark Warren. Texted me saying, 'Have you got any ideas?' I said, 'Why don't you ask Kylie?' and he laughed. But he didn't realise I have a sort of friendship with her," Horne said.
"The production company were saying, 'Don't be ridiculous, she'll never do it'. But I rang her - I thought maybe she would like to play a sort of sexually voracious man-eater, which she quite truly isn't. I wish she was! Eventually I got a call from Marc saying, 'Kylie's doing it, and I'm in Wagamamas, crying'. I said, 'Mate, you're 46'," he added.
