Labourer arrested for 'raping' minor girl

A 16-year old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by her neighbour, a daily wage labourer, following which he has been arrested, police said.
Lakshman was arrested today on a complaint by the mother of the girl, hailing from Nellithurai, they said.
The accused had come to the locality recently with his pregnant wife and was staying near the house of the victim.
On Wednesday, he had sexually assaulted the girl and threatened her not to reveal about it to anyone, police said.
