'Lagaan', 'Swades' to be screened in Paris

Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker's films "Lagaan", "Swades, "Jodhaa Akbar" and "Mohenjo Daro" will be screened at a cultural institution in Paris.
Founded in 1988, Forum Des Images is a prestigious cultural institution of the City of Paris devoted to cinema and audiovisuals.
For its festival this year, they have chosen four films of director Ashutosh Gowariker to be screened in their Indian Express segment - "Lagaan", "Swades, "Jodhaa Akbar" and "Mohenjo Daro", a press release issued here said.
"The honour of having four of my films screened at the Forum Des Images is overwhelming," Ashutosh said in a statement here.
The "Lagaan" helmer will also be visiting Paris during the course of the festival and will speak at the masterclass event, it said.

In the past, three of Ashutosh's films have had theatrical releases in France and have been extremely well received and critically claimed.
