Union Minister Ram Kripal Yadav today took a dig at RJD chief Lalu Yadav, saying he is not even eligible to contest mukhiya's post but is out for electioneering in Jharkhand.
"Lalu is not even eligible to contest the post of mukhiya as he has been barred from contesting elections (following conviction in a fodder scam case). But he has embarked on electioneering," the Union Minister of State for Drinking Water and Sanitation said.
Yadav along with senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi was addressing a poll meeting at Manika. Prasad was convicted in a fodder scam case on September 30 last year.
Yadav accused Lalu Prasad of being a leader of his family and not of RJD workers, citing how he was denied ticket by Prasad, who fielded his daughter in the Lok Sabha election.
Appealing to people to vote for BJP candidate Harikrishna Singh in the upcoming assembly elections, Yadav reminded how fractured mandates during the previous elections marred the developmental works in Jharkhand.
Stating that if the BJP was given majority Jharkhand's "fate and direction" would change for better, he delved on developmental works undertaken by the Central government.
