Land survey begins for widening of NH 216

The land survey with regard to widening of NH 216 has begun from Kruthivennu to Puligadda in Krishna district, a revenue official said today.
Surveyors from National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and Andhra Pradesh Revenue department have started this work earlier this month, Machilipatnam Revenue Divisional Officer P Saibabu said adding it is expected to be completed by the end of next month.
An area of 219 acres has been earmarked between Kruthivennu of Pedana Assembly segment and Puligadda of Avanigadda Assembly segment for widening of the said highway, he added.
