A law student was today arrested near here for allegedly extorting money from several girls by using morphed nude photos, police said.
Samireddi Srinivasarao of Uppada Kottapalli near here, a student of Rajiv Gandhi Law College, used to develop contacts with girl students of professional colleges through the social media and lured them with the offer of marriage, Kakinada DSP Ravi Varma told reporters.
He later morphed their photos and black-mailed them by threatening to upload the pictures on internet if they failed to pay the money and jewels demanded by him.
A few of his victims confessed that they had been cheated of cash and gold ornaments, the official added.
