The friends are competing in the category of best performance by an actress in a motion picture - comedy or musical, alongside Melissa McCarthy, Maggie Smith and Lily Tomlin.
Lawrence said matching dress with Schumer is her mission, reported E! Online.
"We're going to try to figure out to wear the exact same thing. That's my mission. I really want us to wear the same thing."
As Lawrence, 25, is the face of Dior, Schumer will have to agree to wear something from the French fashion label.
She has been nominated for her role in "Joy" while Schumer received her nod for "Trainwreck".
The pair became close when they wrote a screenplay together for a movie which they plan to star in together, but filming on the comedy will not begin immediately because the two stars are busy.
