With only five days left for polling, Revolutionary Marxist Party (RMP) today alleged the LDF candidate for Vatakara constituency A N Shamseer (CPI-M) with having connection with an accused Kirmani Manoj, serving life imprisonment in connection with RMP leader T P Chandrasekharan's murder.
Speaking to mediapersons K K Rema, widow of Chandrasekharan, demanded a comprehensive probe into the telephone conversations Shamseer had with Kirmani, prior to the murder of chandrasekharan in 2012.
Alleging that Shamseer had contacted Kirmani on April 9, 10, and May 3 before chandrasekharan was murdered on May 4, 2012, she said the phone calls made by shamseer stand testimony to his relationship with Kirmani.
Demanding the arrest of Shamseer, Rema had also distributed the copies of telphone call details.
Mullappally Ramachandran, Union minister of state for home is the UDF nominee for the Vatakara constituency while RMP has fielded its prominent leader P Kumarankutty and BJP's V K Sajeevan is also in the fray.
T P Chandrasekharan was murdered by a seven-member gang on may 4,2012 at Onchiyam near Vatakara in Kozhikode district. Chandrasekhan had floated RMP after he was expelled by the CPI(M).
