North Bengal Development minister Goutam Deb today alleged that some leaders of CPI(M), Congress and BJP are responsible for the tension and unrest in the Darjeeling Hills.
"Former CPI(M) minister Ashok Bhattacharya and some Congress and BJP leaders are allegedly helping those creating tension and unrest in the Darjeeling Hills," Deb said here.
He said the Mamata Banerjee government has taken a lot of measures like setting up of the Gorkha Territorial Administration (GTA) for the development of Darjeeling Hills after it came to power in the state.
Deb also instructed the police to initiate action against some websites which are trying to divide the people of the hills and the plains.
