The 'Blue' hitmaker had been making a recovery after battling ill health in recent weeks, but her lingering cough took a turn for the worse while in Dublin, prompting Rimes, 31, to visit a local hospital, reported E! online.
"Never thought I'd see the Er in Dublin. I have coughed myself into pain. The spasm is intense. Being human sucks sometimes... I'm coughing and injured myself. I'm feeling better otherwise. Super frustrating... It's cause of the medicines I'm on for my psoriasis... It lowers my immune system and takes longer to get well," Rimes posted on Twitter.
