LS polls: Legal action against objectionable messages

Legal action will be taken against those who send objectionable or provocative messages on mobile phone during electioneering.

"A helpline for informing authorities about objectionable messages has been started and swift action on complaints will be taken in view of the Model Code of Conduct ahead of the Lok Sabha elections," ADG (ATS) Alok Tripathi said here today.

He said all other arrangements in view of the elections will be made properly.

As many as 65 flying squads and 19 video surveillance teams have been deployed in 19 Assembly segments in Jaipur, he said.

Jaipur Collector and District Election Officer Krishna Kunal said that teams have also been formed to monitor expenditure of parties and assistant expenditure observer and sector magistrate have also been appointed.
