Leopard attacks farmer

A 38-year-old farmer sustained
injuries after a leopard attacked him, official sources said today.
The farmer Chinnakutty of Kondappanacikkenpalayam in the Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve area was walking in the forest area when the leopard pounced on him.
However, when the farmer wielded a sickle in this hand the wild animal ran away to the nearby bushes, Forest Department officials said.
Chinnakutty sustained minor injuries and was admitted to Coimbatore Medical College Hospital.
