Leopard dies of suffocation in Jamshedpur

In a tragic incident, a male leopard cub, Bobby, died today due to suffocation in Tata Steel Zoological Society here today, a Zoo official said.
Bobby breathed his last around 4 PM because of sudden choking of throat due to a piece of meat, said Rajnish Kumar, a member of the Managing Committee of the Zoo.
The piece of meat which was stuck in the throat caused blockage of air passage leading to death due to suffocation, Kumar said. Bobby was a healthy leopard cub and had no pre-existing medical conditions.
However, further details will be known only after the post mortem was conducted.

Bobby was born to Shiva and Ved on April 24, 2013 at Tata Steel Zoological Park, Kumar said.
