Leopard shot dead in Madhya Pradesh

A leopard was shot dead allegedly by an unidentified person in an agriculture field near the Satanwada forest range's Gopalpura beat area, a forest official said today.
The leopard was found to be shot dead by an unidentified person. The bullet was found in the hind part of the animal, Shivpuri's Madhav National Park's veterinarian, Dr Jitendra Jatav said.
The carcass of the leopard was found today in an agriculture field belonging to one Ganesh Moghia, he said.
"For the first time leopard was shot dead in this fashion in the area," Jatav said, adding the carcass has been sent for autopsy.
