Life hit as mercury soars in Raj; Churu boils at 46 degree C

Normal life was today hit in Rajasthan with mercury soaring at several areas of the state where Churu recorded the highest temperature of 46.8 degree Celsius.
The state capital Jaipur and Sriganganagar recorded day temperature of 45.9 and 45 degree Celsius respectively while Barmer, Bikaner and Pilani sizzled at 44.8, 44.6 and 44.5 degrees respectively, according to Met department here.
Heat wave conditions prevailed over a few places in Jodhpur, Bikaner division and at isolated places in Kota and Udaipur divisions, it said.
The weather would remain the same during next 24 hours with possibility of dust storm.
