The maximum temperature was recorded at 17 degrees Celsius, four notches below the season's average while the minimum temperature settled at 9.4 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal.
The Safdarjung observatory, recording of which is considered the official figure for the city, received 4.4 mm rains till 5.30 PM while areas under Lodhi Road, Palam, Ridge and Ayanagar recorded 4.7 mm, 1, 1.8 and 5.6 mm rains rains during the same period, a Meteorological department official said.
The Met office has forecast overcast skies along with the possibility of dense fog in the morning tomorrow.
"The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover at 20 and 6 degrees Celsius," the weatherman said.
