Light to moderate rainfall in eastern UP

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers occurred at isolated places over eastern Uttar Pradesh and weather was mainly dry in western parts in the last 24 hours.
According to the MeT department, chief amount of rainfall recorded Fursatgunj was 3 cm.
It said that day temperatures rose markedly in Varanasi, Moradabad divisions, rose appreciably in Gorakhpur, Faizabad, Kanpur, Bareilly divisions, rose in Allahabad, Lucknow divisions and changed little in the remaining divisions.
It was markedly below normal in Allahabad, Bareilly, Jhansi, Agra, Meerut divisions, appreciably below normal in Gorakhpur, Faizabad, Kanpur, Lucknow, Moradabad divisions and below normal in Varanasi division.

Highest maximum temperature was 27.5 degrees Celsius recorded at Ballia.
Night temperature fell appreciably in Lucknow division, fell in Faizabad, Kanpur and Agra divisions and changed little in the remaining divisions over the state.
The lowest minimum temperature was 8.4 degrees Celsius recorded at Etawah.
