Speaking at Eastern Zone Inter-State Council meeting held in Patna, Das said Jharkhand registered maximum lightning-related incidents and treating it as national calamity would help getting assistance and compensation from the Centre
An official release quoting Das also suggested utilisation of available resources among member states to deal with natural calamities.
He also urged member states to give sufficient time to evacuate and provide relief assistance to the people in Jharkhand before releasing water from rivers during floods anywhere across the borders.
He touched upon issues like broadening of roads, completing ongoing rail projects, forest clearance and several other issues in the Jharkhand.
