"Braven" director Lin Oeding will tackle Kevin Hart-starrer action comedy series "Action Scene".

The project is set up at forthcoming streaming service Quibi and is based on the opening scene of Hart's 2016 concert film "Kevin Hart: What Now?", reported Deadline.

Written by Derek Kolstad, the story follows a fictionalised version of Hart on a quest to land the action movie role of a lifetime.

"After being rejected for the role, Kevin randomly encounters a leading A-list action movie star which inadvertently sets off a chain of events, causing Kevin to fight his way through a series of over-the-top action sequences with the help of some of Hollywood's biggest action movie heroes," the official plotline read.

The series is a collaboration between Hart's Laugh Out Loud Network and the streamer.

Hart, who currently stars in "Jumanji: The Next Level", will also executive produce the series alongside Dave Becky.

Jeff Clanagan, the actor's business partner at Laugh Out Loud, will also serve as executive producer on the project.

Filming is expected to start next month.

Quibi, co-founded by Hollywood heavyweight Jeffrey Katzenberg and former HP CEO Meg Whitman, is set to be launched next year.
