Liquor outlet ransacked for selling liquor in the early hours

A government run liquor outlet was today ransacked in Palladam in nearby Tirupur district for selling alcohol during early hours.
According to police, a group of residents, including 30 women, ransacked the shop and smashed down the liquor bottles protesting against selling alcohol in the early hours.
Liquor outlets in Tamil Nadu was allowed function only between 12 noon and 10 p.m.
Police rushed to the spot and managed to bring the situation under control and disbursed the agitators.
