A country liquor shop here was set ablaze after a man working there refused to pay extortion money, police said today.
Quoting the complainant, who worked in the shop as a salesman, police said three youths had approached him yesterday demanding money, and threatened him with dire consequences on being refused.
Later that night, the owners found out that their shop had been set ablaze, they said.
The complainant has alleged the men who demanded money had carried out the deed, police said, adding that they have started an investigation.
