"Peter Pan" is the latest classic tale that will get a live-action treatment from Disney after the success of "Cinderella" and "Maleficent".
David Lowery, Toby Halbrooks and James Whitaker, are backing the Peter Pan project.
Lowery is on board to direct and co-write the script with Halbrooks. Whitaker is producing. There are no other details about the project because it's in the early stages of development, reported Ace Showbiz.
Disney itself had developed a successful animation in 1953.
Other incarnations of the character were Steven Spielberg's "Hook" in 1991, PJ Hogan's "Peter Pan" in 2003, and Joe Wright's "Pan" in 2015.
