Local party leader shot dead in UP

A 45-year-old local party leader was shot dead by bike-borne assailants here, police said today.
Pawan Yadav, a leader of Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party, was shot by the youths last night when he was going somewhere from his party office, they said.
Yadav was rushed to a hospital where he died during treatment.
A probe is underway, police added.
