A local journalist was beaten to death allegedly by four men over a land dispute in Phoolbehar area here.
40-year-old scribe Lekhram Bharti, a resident of Arjunpurwa locality of the city, was going on his motorcycle when four armed men attacked him with iron rods near a petrol pump in Saidapur village last night, police said.
Bharti, who was severely injured in the attack, was rushed to district hospital where he died today, police said.
The four accused -- Ishahaq, Nanhe, Nayeem and Anis -- have been arrested.
A land dispute in Bharti's village was suspected to be the reason behind the murder, police said.
