A lock of Rolling Stone rocker Mick Jagger's hair, which was cut by his former girlfriend Chrissie Shrimpton almost 50 years ago, has sold for 4,000 pounds at an auction.
The hair, which was sold by Shrimptonm, was bought by an anonymous buyer for twice what Bonham's auction house predicted it would fetch, reported Telegraph online.
The winning bidder will receive the lock of hair along with an envelope with the words 'Mick Jagger's hair after being washed + trimmed by Chris at Rose Hill Farm' written on it.
The hair was cut almost 50 years ago by Shrimptonm, whose grandmother stashed it away only for it to be discovered after her death.
All proceeds from the sale will be donated to the charity Changing Faces, supporting people with facial disfigurements.
Meanwhile, Jagger and the rest of the band - which includes Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts - threw a star-studded after-party to celebrate their Glastonbury gig last weekend.
The rockers booked 20 rooms at the Babington House hotel in Somerset, South West England, and invited a group of famous friends, including Kate Moss, Coldplay singer Chris Martin and Pulp star Jarvis Cocker, to party with them after they wowed over 100,000 fans as they headlined the Pyramid Stage.
