B Jagadeesh, loco-pilot and K V Krishna, assistant loco pilot of Bacheli Station in Chhattisgarh under Waltair Railway Division while performing duties on July 30, 2017 in a goods train from Jagadalpur to Koraput observed some fish plates & coil spring kept on the track by miscreants at Khadapa Station Yard in Koraput District of Odisha, ECoR said in a release today.
They immediately stopped the train and averted a possible major disaster and loss to railway property. Three fish plates and one coil spring were removed from the railway track for train operations after they reported the matter.
