Lok Adalat settles more than 850 power theft cases

"Over 850 cases were settled in the Lok Adalat. TPDDL had set up 15 courts in the Tis Hazari Court premise for the convenience of the consumers. The total settlement amount from the cases settled was approximately Rs 2.7 crore," a TPDDL spokesperson said.

The Lok Adalat, jointly organised by TPDDL in association with Delhi State Legal Services Authority, got an overwhelming response from people.

"We are looking at organising more such Lok Adalats for settlement of pending cases," the spokesperson said.

Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited has network in North and North West Delhi.
