Tea Board officials said the event tells the story of tea production - from the leaf to the cup - and a mini tea garden has been created inside the Royal Festival Hall. Some of the best tea varieties are being presented by prominent Indian tea producers at the exhibition stall outside the hall and can be sampled.

A stationary tram decorated with signages of different types of Indian tea like Darjeeling, Assam, Nilgiri and Kangra varieties has been arranged for the event.

At Harrods, large digital display screens showcase a special selection of Indian tea as part of the promotion campaign, officials said.

With an aim to give a new fillip to the Indo-British tea trade, a buyer-seller meet is also being held where some of the prominent players of the UK market will interact with Indian producers and exporters.

A delegation of major producers and exporters, led by Madhusudan Prasad, Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Commerce, is already in London for the special promotional event.
