Voicing concern over the low gender ratio in Rajasthan, Governor Margaret Alva today said it was disturbing to find that situation in districts with high literacy rates is also no different.
Addressing a teachers' conference in Mount Abu, Alva said maintaining good sex ratio is a challenge before the society and educated people must be more sensible than the illiterate.
She called upon the educationists to make efforts to bring positive changes in the society.
"The society today is changing and it is the responsibility of politicians, teachers, intellects, media and the common man to make collective efforts to face the challenges," the Governor added.
