A case has been registered against Madhya Pradesh Law and Public Relations Minister PC Sharma for allegedly promising jobs to Congress workers during a poll rally earlier this month.
Sharma, an MLA from Bhopal South-West Assembly seat, had made the remarks at a meeting on April 4 at Narmada Bhawan.
Senior leader Digvijaya Singh is the Congress candidate from Bhopal Lok Sabha seat.
Talking to reporters on Monday, MP Chief Electoral Officer V L Kantharao said, "We have received a report from Bhopal District Returning Officer. A case was registered against PC Sharma for violating the model code of conduct."
