Lt Gen Chachra discusses security scenario with J-K CM

Army's General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Northern Command Lt General Sanjiv Chachra today discussed the security scenario in Jammu and Kashmir with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah here.
Lt Gen Chachra, who took over from Lt Gen Parnaik earlier this month, called on the chief minister here, an official spokesman said.
He said the Army commander discussed with the chief minister matters relating to prevailing security scenario in the state.
Lt Gen Chachra briefed Omar about the functioning of security grid and the coordination between various agencies, the spokesman added.
Lt Gen Chachra was GOC-in-C, Western Command, prior to assuming charge of the Northern Command.
